In 2019 I photographed Jake and Diana's surprise proposal on top of Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park. They planned to have a wedding in their home state of Massachusetts in 2020, but they had to postpone that due to COVID, which then brought them to their Plan B - elope in the town that they got engaged in! They instantly reached out to me to see if I was available, and I am so happy that I was! Being able to photograph these special moments for couples in love makes me so happy!
These two had an intimate elopement at the Bar Harbor Inn in September. Their parents and siblings joined them and watched as they shared the most heartfelt vows (even got my a teary-eyed!). The laughed through the tears and had the most beautiful ceremony overlooking the harbor! We did family portraits afterwards and then spent some time with just the two of them around the Bar Harbor Inn property doing "Just Married" portraits. I cannot get over all of the beautiful photo ops that this property alone as to offer! Scroll through to see for yourself!
Their Testimonial: "We have worked with Emily 2 times now. Last year, my fiancé hired Emily to capture the moments of our proposal on top of Cadillac Mountain. Emily went above and beyond for Jake, picked out a spot without many people, and blended in with the crowd while my fiancé proposed to me. I had no idea she was shooting the whole thing. We then had an entire engagement shoot on top of Cadillac Mountain. The pictures are stunning. Emily has an eye for detail and is an extremely hard worker. We can tell she loves what she does! This year, our wedding in MA was postponed due to COVID, so we decided to elope with just our immediate family in Bar Harbor. We immediately called Emily who graciously squeezed us into her already packed weekend of 2 other weddings. Emily knows how to get creative with photos and is so easy to work with. Our pictures are amazing. I would recommend Emily to anyone!!"
