Whitney and Jeff reached out to me at the beginning of the year looking for a photographer to create their engagement photos while they were on vacation in D.C. The day of their session was a bright, chilly, February morning - filled with lots of walking, which gave us many opportunities to chat and get to know each other in between our locations.
We started at the Washington Monument and worked our way to the Lincoln Memorial along the Reflecting Pool.
There was a little bit of dancing along the way.
And we would stop to let all of the runners pass us so we didn't hold them up.
Whitney and Jeff came from Florida, so they of course had their photo in front of their state at the World War II Memorial.
Then they each had their photo in front of their home state.
Once we were finished around the Reflecting Pool, we made our way back to the Washington Monument so that we could warm up in our cars for a bit and drive to Capitol Hill.
We parked behind the United States Supreme Court building and walked around front to get some amazing shots.
We finished our session right in front of the United States Capitol Building!
